Message From The RC

SPRING 2018

We are only accepting players for the spring season who are currently on the waitlist.  Due to a lack of volunteers we will not take new players unless we have an open spot on a team.  No new teams will be formed unless there is a volunteer to coach the team.  We currently need a U5 coach and U6 coach.  We are 100% volunteer and need parents to participate in order to keep our program running.

Please do not try to register without speaking to someone from the board.  Your registration will not be accepted unless, we confirm there is an open spot for your child.  All registration questions can be directed to This email address is being protected from spambots. ***Reminder***

When traveling to other regions, we are guests at the their fields.  Northwest has asked that visitors watch their speed when entering their fields.  The fields are actually located on private property that is leased to that region.

Volunteers
We have received some complaints about the lack of referees in our region.  We hear your concerns; however, we need to ask, have you volunteered?  There are 300 kids currently registered to play soccer in this region and not nearly that many volunteers.  Many of our volunteers are pulling double and triple duty.  We have people leaving work in order to coach games. A few of our referees have stepped up to coach a team.  The majority of our current referees are youth volunteers.  We cannot expect them to be at the fields every day of the week.  Please consider donating some of your time to help.  We will provide you with the necessary training.

Also our CVPA (volunteer advocate) position needs to be filled asap.  This position is mostly administrative.  The volunteer advocate collects volunteer applications, PA clearances and ensures our region is compliant with training, etc.

Anyone interested in volunteering as a referee or for the board, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

AYSO Mission Statement

The American Youth Soccer Organization develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on our six philosophies:

Everyone Plays® - Our goal is for kids to play soccer - so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least half of every game.

Balanced Teams - We require every region at the start of each season to set up teams as evenly balanced as possible. It's more fun when teams are of equal ability.

Positive Coaching - This builds a positive team spirit. We train and encourage our coaches to make the extra effort to understand and offer positive help to our players, rather than negative criticism.

Open Registration - Our programs are open to all children ages 4 - 18 who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only requirements for playing.

Good Sportsmanship - We create a positive environment based on mutual respect, rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude. All of our programs are designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.

Player Development - We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.

These fundamental philosophies are the foundation of AYSO and must be emphasized in all aspects of program implementation in local AYSO regions throughout the country.
